Additional Provision
Sometimes our children are assessed as needing additional clinical input such as:
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Usually our children remain under the oversight of their local psychiatrist if medication has been prescribed. If this is not practical then we access our local Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Speech, Language and Communication Therapy – All of our children are initially assed by our speech and language therapist. When a child is assessed as needing speech and language therapy a fully qualified Speech and Language therapist delivers the therapy or devises a programme for one of the team to deliver as is most appropriate.
Occupational Therapy - Our Nurse co-ordinates referrals to our occupational therapists, who also work for the NHS. The assessment usually takes place within four weeks and can result in individual therapy and advice to teams as appropriate
