Our Therapeutic Team around the child
The therapeutic practitioners also provide consultation and training to our Education, Care, Health and Facilities team members to ensure they keep their interactions with our children focused on the children’s needs with the aim of facilitating positive change.
How our teams support our children - The Therapists work and communicate collaboratively with our Care, Education, Health and Facilities teams. They meet regularly with the teams to inform their practice and support the therapeutic process. This ensures themes and ideas about meanings of behaviour and each child’s therapeutic journey is shared with all those working with them. It also helps to ensure that our team’s interactions with the children support the therapeutic healing process. They also provide training for the Care, Education and Facilities teams.

Independent Visitor - We provide our children with 24 hour access to an independent person who will listen to any concern and can be a point of assistance outside of the organisation. We can also contract additional individual independent visitors if needed from Barnados.
